Prabhas, Deepika Padukone's Kalki 2898 AD Gets A Shoutout From SS Rajamouli: 'Loved The World-Building'

Nag Ashwin’s directorial venture, Kalki 2898 AD, is finally out in cinemas. The film stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in key roles. The revolves around a modern avatar of Lord Vishnu, who has descended on Earth to protect the world from the forces of evil. With positive reviews pouring in, SS Rajamouli, who also plays a cameo in the prfilm heaped praises at Nag Ashwin’s magnum opus.

Taking to his X(formerly Twitter) handle on Thursday, SS Rajamouli wrote, “Loved the world-building of #Kalki2898AD… It transported me into various realms with its incredible settings. Darling just killed it with his timing and ease… Great support from Amitabh ji, Kamal sir, and Deepika. The last 30 minutes of the film took me to a whole new world. Kudos to Nagi and the entire Vyjayanthi team for their unmatched efforts in executing it.”

RRR director SS Rajamouli made a surprise appearance in Kalki 2898 AD. The film is directed by Nag Ashwin and it stars Prabhas in the lead. While Nag had already confirmed that Vijay Deverakonda and Dulquer Salmaan have cameos in the film, fans were thrilled to see Rajamouli in the film. The video of his cameo has now leaked online.

In the video, Rajamouli is seen driving a futuristic car and hilariously calling out to Prabhas. He tells him he will keep him busy for the next 10 years, an epic nod to the time they spent while making the path-breaking Baahubali series. In the leaked scenes, the audiences are heard laughing to the dialogue.

Meanwhile, a photo claimed that SS Rajamouli with his wife Rama and Oscar-winning music director M. M. Keeravani were in a theatre, heading to watch Kalki 2898 AD. In the photo shared online, Rajamouli stood at the door of the theatre screen, waiting to be let in. He was seen meeting Keeravani as well. His wife Rama also waited patiently with him.

Earlier this week, Rajamouli gave the team of Kalki 2898 AD a massive shoutout. “Power packed trailer it is… It sets the right mood and tone to watch the film FDFS. ‌Amitabh ji, Darling and Deepika’s characters seem to have a lot of depth and are truly intriguing. I am still stuck on Kamal sir’s look and how he amazes as always ,” he shared on X.
