Ranbir Kapoor Calls Sandeep Reddy Vanga 'Most Original and Cinematic Director' He's Worked With; Watch

At an awards show in Gujarat last month, Ranbir Kapoor thanked Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, his dad Rishi Kapoor and daughter Raha in his speech after winning Best Actor for Animal. A fan page shared a video of him accepting the award that was later shared on Reddit and is now going viral.

Ranbir, after thanking the sponsors, said, “I would like to dedicate this award to three people in my life. starting with the champion, Mr Sandeep Reddy Vanga. You are, by far, the most original and cinematic director I have worked with and it’s truly been an honour to collaborate with you. The amount of belief and faith that you showed towards me, really encouraged me. Vanga, you won, man. The second person I’d like to dedicate this award to is Mr Rishi Kapoor – Papa Meri Jaan. Everyday I think of you, I remember you. And everything I feel for you…the love, the affection I try to channelise it through this part and I hope you are up there in peace and resting. And last but not least my daughter Raha…naughty….you were born and a week later I started principal shooting for Animal ..and every single day just to come home to you has been the most joyful experience of my life. Mumma and papa are bringing you a bua and a massi tonight to play… I can’t wait to experience every adventure with you…I love you naughty. Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranbir Kapoor will soon be seen as Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. According to reports, Sai Pallavi will be playing Sita and Sunny Deol will be playing Hanuman. Lara Dutta has been roped in to play Kaikayi and Rakul Preet Singh is in talks to play Shurpanakha, as per reports.

Ranbir Kapoor has also signed Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love And War alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. Sanjay Leela Bhansali will reportedly take a break from his signature period dramas with this film.
