Deadpool & Wolverine are gearing up to make their grand entrance into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and excitement is through the roof. The buzz began when Hugh Jackman’s look in a comic accurate suit was shown along with his reunion with Sabretooth. Before the trailer even dropped, sneak peeks from set photos got fans buzzing about what to expect. Amid this, Ryan Reynolds recently gave more boost to the hype by hinting at a ton of surprises yet to be revealed. He teased that the film will be packed with unexpected moments and MCU fans will be able to witness a blend of familiar and new heroes.
During the recent fan event in Berlin, where a few lucky fans were shown the first 35 minutes of the movie, Ryan said, “The honest truth is we’re hiding a lot. I mean there’s a kind of an impossible amount of surprises that in a couple of weeks we’re so excited to unleash not only in Berlin but all the other amazing cities that this thing’s going to fire up in it’s great very excited."
Before Ryan Reynolds raised the excitement, director Shawn Levy stated, “We wish we could show you the whole movie today but Marvel won’t let us do that. So we have to wait like a couple more weeks for that but we picked the first 34 minutes of the movie. You get a sneak peek at what’s to come in the rest of the movie so enjoy what you see today but soon you’re getting a lot more."
So far, the team behind Deadpool & Wolverine have only confirmed Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova, along with Tyler Mane reprising his role as Sabretooth and Aaron Stanford returning as Pyro from the X-Men series. Meanwhile, speculations are running wild about the possible appearances from original Avengers stars such as Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr and Mark Ruffalo. There are also rumours circulating online that Taylor Swift and Blake Lively might also appear, as Dazzler and Lady Deadpool, respectively.
Other than Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, the upcoming MCU stars Matthew Macfadyen, Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Stefan Kapicic, Brianna Hildebrand, Rob Delaney, Lewis Tan, Kelly Hu, Jason Flemyng and Ray Park. Directed by Shawn Levy, Deadpool 3 is scheduled to release on July 26.
