Sajid Nadiadwala Team BREAKS Silence on Ahan Shetty's Pricey Entourage Rumours: 'We Are Starting...'

Sajid Nadiadwala’s production house, Nadiadwala Grandson has reacted to the reports claiming that the producer is threatening to shelve Sanki due to Ahan Shetty’s pricey entourage. Taking to X, the production house said that the rumours are not true and added that the film is scheduled to start filming next month.

“We are starting #Sanki on 18th August. We request all media houses to avoid such rumours and clarify the news with us before printing!” the production house said.

Earlier this week, Bollywood Hungama claimed that Ahan Shetty’s high entourage cost has allegedly left Sajid Nadiadwala angry and disappointed. It was claimed that Sajid promised his “old friend” Sunil Shetty that he would give a second chance to Ahan after his debut movie Tadap failed at the box office. While the shooting of the film was underway, Sajid threatened to shelve the movie due to the leading actor’s entourage cost. This has led to Sajid reconsidering his plans for the film.

“Sajid is having second thoughts about the film. The current market is not where it used to be from the satellite and digital point of view. Although Sajid managed to sell digital rights thanks to his bulk deal with Amazon Prime Video, he is not getting the kind of money he was hoping – either for the film’s satellite or digital rights. But that is not what broke the camel’s back,” a source cited by the entertainment portal claimed.

“It was when Sajid saw his leading man’s entourage costs that he lost his patience. Ahan’s staff costs – (hair, make-up, spot, stylist, driver, chef, trainer etc.), which were billed to production, were so high that Sajid threatened to pull the plug on the film, adding that it made no business sense to produce this project,” the insider added.

The report also claimed that Suniel Shetty had to step in to request Sajid not to let go of the project. Not just this, the senior Bollywood actor even offered to help Sajid as far as high costs are concerned.
