Hemsworth made a surprise appearance at Ed Sheeran’s concert in Bucharest, Romania, and let’s just say, he didn’t need Mjolnir to bring down the house this time— just a good old drum kit. On Saturday night, Hemsworth joined Ed Sheeran on stage at the National Arena in Bucharest, where around 70,000 fans got the surprise of a lifetime.

It turns out, the actor was in town filming an episode for the upcoming second season of his National Geographic/Disney+ series, Limitless With Chris Hemsworth. He played the drum part for Sheeran’s hit song Thinking Out Loud in front of an audience that could rival the population of a small country.

“Got (Chris Hemsworth) to learn to play drums for my stadium show,” Sheeran announced in an Instagram post shortly after the concert.

“Basically what’s happening is Chris emailed me last December saying he’s doing a documentary on cognitive health and the benefits of learning an instrument,” Sheeran explained in a video shared on Instagram. “And he came to visit me, and he has learned drums and he’s coming on stage in front of 70,000 (people).”
