Actor Akhil Mishra died on September 21 following a freak accident. The actor was seen playing the role of a librarian in 3 Idiots. His wife Suzanne Bernert confirmed the news of his death with a leading publication. Akhil’s cause of death has also been revealed. He reportedly died after falling off a stool in the kitchen.
His wife, speaking with indianexpress.com, confirmed that Akhil Mishra passed away. She was in Hyderabad, shooting for a project, when the accident took place. A close friend of the actor told the publication that Akhil had been keeping unwell for a while now and had a blood pressure-related issue as well. It is said that Akhil was in the kitchen on a stool while doing something when he reportedly fell and hurt his head. He was found in a pool of blood. The actor was rushed to the hospital but despite medical help, he could not survive.
However, there are also reports claiming that he ‘fell off a building.’
Akhil Mishra was a popular face in the film industry. The actor played the role of a librarian, Dubey, in 3 Idiots. He was in the limelight in the first half of the film, including the famous hilarious speech delivered in the movie Omi Vaidya’s Silencer. Besides 3 Idiots, Akhil was also seen in movies like Shah Rukh Khan’s Don, Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, Gandhi My Father, Well Done Abba, and Calcutta Mail. He has worked on the small screen as well. He played a viral role in CID, Uttaran, Udaan, Shrimaan Shrimati, Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se, Pardes Mein Mila Koi Apna and Hatim, among others TV shows.
On the personal front, Akhil was married to German actress Suzanne Bernert. They tied the knot in 2009. They reportedly had a traditional ceremony later in 2011.
