Deepika Padukone called the G20 Summit a remarkable accomplishment showcasing the nation's potential to the world.

Deepika Padukone, who is currently seen in an extended appearance in Shah Rukh Khan’s much-awaited film Jawan, took to her Instagram story on Tuesday to congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi for hosting the G20 Summit 2023. The summit took place in Delhi from September 9 to September 10 with several VIP attendees gracing the national capital.

Deepika wrote in her congratulatory note, “Congratulations on hosting a ground-breaking G20 Summit! A remarkable accomplishment, showcasing our nation’s potential to the world. A true testament to our ability to mobilize global action, strengthen solidarity and lead the way to a brighter future. One Earth, one family, one future.”

Earlier, Deepika’s Jawan costar, Shah Rukh Khan had also congratulated PM Modi by writing a heartfelt note for him on X, formerly known as Twitter. He wrote, “Congratulations to Hon. PM @narendramodi ji for the success of India’s G20 Presidency and for fostering unity between nations for a better future for the people of the world. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan’s film Jawan, also featuring Deepika, has witnessed record-breaking success at the box office. The film, directed by Atlee, collected Rs. 30 crores on its 4th day at the box office in India, as per early estimates. According to Sacnilk.com, “Jawan had an overall 32.85% Hindi Occupancy on Monday, September 11, 2023,” the box office report mentioned. The film witnessed the highest occupancy in the night shows, which was about 50.22%. With this, Jawan has collected Rs 286 crores net in India.” The film is expected to surpass Rs 300 in India on Tuesday, September 12.

Headlined by Shah Rukh Khan, the film also features stellar performances by Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra and Priya Mani Raj among others.
