After almost 2 years, Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra made a comeback on Instagram. On the auspicious occassion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Raj’s first post gave a glimpse of the celebrations at his home which came with a strong message for his haters. Raj had previously deleted his Instagram accounts after being mired in a pornographic scandal.
Sharing the video of his Ganpati celebrations on Instagram, Raj wrote, “Jai Shri Ganesh. He’s BACK! Well wishers your love makes me stronger, haters your hate makes me unstoppable! Karma is efficient I am just being patient. Ganpati Bappa Morya!!!! Happy Ganesh Chaturthi.”

Shilpa Shetty Kundra couldn’t be more happier. She took to the comments section and wrote, “Stay blessed and protected always ♥️♥️.”
Each year, Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra welcome Lord Ganpati in their home. This year, she continued this ritual, and she was spotted at an idol store with Raj.
On Tuesday, the actress took to Instagram to share a photo from the celebrations at home. Going by the photo, it looks like the theme was ivory and gold. Shilpa looked gorgeous in an ivor and gold dhoti sari accessorised with traditional jewellery, while Raj Kundra opted for Kurta in the same colour palatte. Her children – Viaan Raj Kundra and Samisha Shetty Kundra – too, wore ivory and gold outfits. She captioned the photo, “Ganpati Bappa Moriya Happy Ganesh Chaturthi to you all ♥️ Sukhee Bhava.”
The actress is a devout follower and strong believer in Lord Ganpati, and she frequently visits the Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai, particularly on Tuesdays.
For the unversed, Raj Kundra was arrested in July 2021 in connection to the alleged creation and uploading of pornographic films on mobile applications. He was granted bail after almost two months.
Later in 2022, Kundra wrote to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) claiming that he was innocent and alleged that it was all ‘personal vendetta’ of a businessman who connived with police officers to get him arrested. Kundra had also requested the central agency to probe the case and had further claimed that he was framed by the senior officers of the Mumbai Crime Branch.
“I have lived in silence for one year; ripped apart by a media trial and spent 63 days in Arthur Road Jail. I seek justice from the courts, which I know I will get, and I humbly request an investigation against these officers,” he had written in his letter as reported by Mid-Day.
In December 2022, Supreme Court granted anticipatory bail to Raj Kundra, Poonam Pandey and Sherlyn Chopra in connection to the case. The top court’s decision came after the Bombay High Court had rejected Kundra’s plea for pre-arrest protection in the case.
