I-T dept must probe DLF-Vadra deals: Kejriwal
Armed with another set of documents, Keriwal insinuated a quid pro quo between Congress-led Haryana government and Vadra.

New Delhi: India Against Corruption (IAC) activist Arvind Kejriwal stepped up their attack on Tuesday, claiming a nexus between Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra, building giant DLF and the Congress-led Haryana government. Kejriwal also demanded a white paper on the deals from the Haryana government. "Robert Vadra's dealings have deceived people. The people of this nation have been put down because of these powerful people," claimed Kejriwal on Tuesday evening.

Addressing a Press Conference, Kejriwal asked, "What benefits did the Harayana government give to DLF. There is a malafide nexus between DLF and the Haryana government." In his act two, scene one Arvind Kejriwal took his battle against Vadra to the next stage. Armed with another set of documents, Keriwal insinuated a quid pro quo between Congress-led Haryana government and Vadra. And to underscore the point he alleged that the state government illegally gave several plots of land to DLF.

He claimed that the Haryana government gave land to DLF at concessional rates and gave 30 acres of land allocated for a hospital to DLF to build an SEZ. And Vadra became 50 per cent stake holder of the DLF SEZ holdings. Kejriwal said, "Within a year he sold back the shares to DLF. In this one year what were the kind of benefits that Robert Vadra provided."

DLF has till now maintained that no unsecured loans were extended to Vadra and the Congress quick to react. But unlike the last time when it fielded a slew of ministers to defend Vadra, the task instead was left to spokespersons. Renuka Chaudhry said, "Can't politicians' kids do any other form of work?"

And the BJP, which till afternoon was calling Kejriwal a Congress agent, by evening was demanding an independent investigation into the whole affair.

Vijay Goel earlier in the day on Tuesday had said, "Who is Kejriwal to question about our whereabouts in the past three years. It is only three days that he's been here." And later BJP spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman said, "Government should order a probe."

What's your reaction?
