New Delhi: MPs in prison are suddenly in big demand. The parties that once distanced themselves from MPs upon their conviction are now chasing them for support.
The Delhi High Court on Thursday allowed RJD MP from Madhepura Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav to take part in the trust vote.
Another RJD MP Mohammed Shahabuddin from Siwan got bail on Wednesday. Suraj Bhan Singh, the Ballia MP belonging to Ram Vilas Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party has also got bail.
All the three, who are convicted of murder charges, will be voting for the UPA.
Phoolpur MP Ateeq Ahmed, who was expelled fromt he SP, too will vote. He is being wooed by both Mayawati and the Congress. Samajwadi Party MP Afzal Ansari is also expected to get permission for voting.
Ansari has been contacted by the BSP for support.
