New Delhi: Rajya Sabha Chairman Mohammad Hamid Ansari is set to meet head of the Parliamentary Committee Abhishek Manu Singhvi on Tuesday to explain why he needs one more week to prepare the final Lokpal draft.
The committee was supposed to submit its report by December7.
Sources say the Parliamentary panel needs more time to reach a consensus among its members.
The Standing Committee on Lokpal Bill on Monday asked for one more week to submit its report in Parliament.
This came at a time when Team Anna has decided to step up its attack on the government over the passing of a strong Lokpal Bill.
Anna Hazare has threatened of a fresh stir, miffed with reports of the Lokpal draft which suggest that lower bureaucracy and judiciary haven't been put under the its ambit.
Reacting to the draft, Anna said that he felt cheated by the government, adding that they must be prepared for another round of movement.
