Lucknow: The CD of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati's Gorakhpur rally where she reportedly uttered that opposition parties were using their pet dogs to spoil her rally will be examined, the state Chief Electoral Officer said on Tuesday.
The CD of the speech will be sent to the Election Commission after examination, CEO Umesh Sinha told reporters In Lucknow.
He said the District Magistrates send information related to all important things to the EC.
Addressing a rally in Gorakhpur on Monday, Mayawati reportedly said opposition parties were using their "pet dogs" for spoiling her programme after a woman attempted to enter the security area.
In the midst of Mayawati's speech, a woman in the crowd tried to enter the security area before the stage.
When stopped by security personnel, the woman started shouting but was handed over to the police.
"Worried, they are sending their pet dogs to disturb our public meetings. You people need not get distracted from such tactics," Mayawati had reportedly said.
