Lucknow: Nomination for the second phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections on April 13 began on Saturday with the issuance of notification.
As many as 58 constituencies in 10 districts would go to polls in the second phase in which 1.64 crore voters would exercise their franchise.
There would be 16,000 polling booths and 8500 polling centres in this phase spread over Agra, Meerut, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Bulandshahr, Mathura districts of Western Uttar Pradesh, election office sources said.
The nomination process for this phase would close on March 24.
