New Delhi: After going hi-tech with the campaign for seven-phased Assembly elections, in Uttar Pradesh, parties are roping in Bollywood stars to campaign for them in the elections to the 403-seat UP Assembly.
On Sunday, yesteryears' actress Zeenat Aman campaigned for UP’s controversial politician D P Yadav, who is in fray in the state assembly elections, at a rally in Lucknow.
News agency PTI quoted the sizzling actress as saying "done a lot for the poor and was an "honest" person.
Yadav, President of Rashtriya Parivartan Dal, is in fray from Sahaswan constituency adjacent to Gunnaur from UP Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav is contesting.
His party has teamed up with the Jan Morcha of former Prime Minister V P Singh for these elections.
Yadav's son Vikas is the main accused in Nitish Katara murder case and was convicted in Jessical Lall murder case and sentenced to four years' rigorous imprisonment.
