Remember Avika Gor? The sweet, little girl Anandi from the popular television show Balika Vadhu? The show, which began airing in 2008, soon became a sensation and its cast members including Avika Gor became household names. Since then, Avika, who started as a child actor, has become a familiar face in the Hindi television industry. She had already started acting at the age of seven and has since created a huge fan base for her performances and stylish looks. Over the years, she has also shared the screen with many known actors and has been part of several successful projects.
In a recent interview with Hautterrfly, Avika Gor talked about her experiences of shooting intimate scenes, her relationship with her boyfriend Milind Chandwani and other aspects of her life and career.
When asked about her experience of shooting intimate scenes in films, the actress revealed that it is quite different from what people might expect. She described it as very dull and added that while the audience might think it’s a lot of fun, it’s quite boring.
Avika also said that she was thankful to the intimacy coordinator Krishna Bhatt. She informs that Krishna has worked extensively in the industry and has had a lot of experience on various projects. “With experience from working on all of Emraan Hashmi’s films and beyond, she knows the ins and outs of setting the right atmosphere, ensuring everyone’s comfort, and managing the process effectively,” she explained.
Adding to that, Avika also revealed that director Vikram Bhatt stays very mindful and aware of the actors’ comfort while shooting intimate scenes. “Vikram sir is a pro, unke set par na agar sharam vali feeling hai na toh humse zyada unme hai. Unko bahut sharam aa rahi hoti hai, aade se zyada time. (And Vikram sir is a pro. If there’s any feeling of embarrassment on set, he feels it more than we do. He gets very embarrassed most of the time),” she added.
Avika also explained that directors and other crew members make sure to communicate clearly and express mutual respect when filming intimate scenes.
“Of course, there’s lovemaking and all of that but meri body kaafi hadd tak hidden rehti hai. That’s the directors way of showing it and ye discussion bahut pehle hi ho jata hai. (Of course, there’s lovemaking and all of that, but my body remains quite hidden. That’s the director’s way of showing it, and this discussion happens well in advance),” she explained.
