Kapil Sharma has been entertaining the audience with his wit and humour for a long time now. From The Great Indian Laughter Challenge to Comedy Circus and The Kapil Sharma Show, the comedian-actor has indeed come a long way. Currently, he is busy promoting his upcoming venture The Great Indian Kapil Show. The much-anticipated comedy program will be streaming on Netflix from March 30. Besides Kapil Sharma, it will also feature other comedians like Kiku Sharda, Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek and Rajiv Thakur with Archana Puran Singh acting as the judge.
During The Great Indian Kapil Show’s promotional event, Kapil Sharma attended a press conference where he showered praises on his fellow comedians like Sunil Grover. But when it came to his “lucky charm”, the Zwigato actor hailed Archana Puran Singh as the one. “She is our lucky charm. We began the show in 2013 and before that, I worked with Archana in Comedy Circus. She understands every type of humor and that’s an art,” shared Kapil, as quoted by ETimes.
“We enjoy a lot when she (Archana Puran Singh) sits in front of us. It’s been 11 years now, I thank everyone for showering so much love on the show,” Kapil Sharma continued, before adding that he will be “coming with more affluence” alongside Archana in The Great Indian Kapil Show.
In the same event, Kapil Sharma recalled his first meeting with Sunil Grover on the show Hans Baliye in 2009. Acknowledging his massive fan following he said, “And you all know… poora show ek taraf inki fan following ek taraf (The entire show is on one side and his fan following is on the other).”
The first episode of the Great Indian Kapil Show will feature Ranbir Kapoor, his mother and veteran actress Neetu Kapoor, and his sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. The makers recently unveiled its fun promo, where the Animal actor and his family were seen having a fun banter with others. New episodes will be streaming every Saturday at 8 pm.
Meanwhile, on the film front, Kapil Sharma was last seen in the recently-released comedy drama Crew, starring Kareena Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Tabu in the lead.
