Watching videos of cyclists riding through random countryside trails always captures the attention of viewers. Seeing the twisty and unknown paths adds an extra layer of intrigue. Recently, a cyclist left followers astonished as he shared a video of him riding on a narrow cycling route in the darkness of night. The hair raising footage has sent chills down the spines of social media users, sparking concerns about the potential risks and negative consequences of such daring manoeuvres. The impressive yet terrifying video features the cyclist bravely exploring a forest path using just a small torch attached to his cycle. While some admire the adventurous spirit, others worry about the safety of the rider.
An Athlete named Remy Metailler shared a gripping video on Instagram, showing him starting the solo night trail. With a torch attached to the front of his bike, the footage captures Remy breathing heavily as he follows the zig zag and steep route. The limited visibility in the darkness intensified the suspense and left social media having mixed feelings about his adventure. Since the athlete shared the clip, it has garnered over 2 million views. Sharing the video, the athlete wrote, “Rate the stress level on this ride. The hardest trail around, at night. Not chill."

Reacting to the video, a user wrote, “Held our breath the whole time."
Another suggested, “You need to find a girlfriend dude."
An individual wrote, “Even ghost would be scared to follow you down those trails."
A user asked, “On a rational level, you could fall off the path into a ravine and disappear from the world of light. On a karmic level you could ride straight into a bear hunting for supper. On a supernatural level you could encounter ghosts, demons, dead things that walk. Why? Why do this?"
“This looks so stressful," a comment read.
Another jokingly wrote, “I was waiting for a skinwalker or something to jump out."
One more added, “I’d be squeezing the brake the whole time."
While Remy Metailler’s intense footage left viewers scared and concerned, Belgium’s De Wijers nature reserve offers a contrasting experience with its impressive cycling trail. Named Cycling Through Water, this unique trail takes riders on an extraordinary journey, as they travel on a submerged bridge that is intentionally designed to bring riders very close to the water surface.
BuroLandschap founder Pieter Daenen is the mind behind this uniquely designed bridge.
