Watch: Blogger Finds ‘Silent Killer’ Common Krait Snake Hiding Under A Sewing Machine

It’s not common to find a dangerous serpent lurking inside your house, posing a danger to your life. Such a chilling clip was shared on Instagram by a blogger, who had a horrifying encounter with a snake; he saw a serpent stuck to a sewing machine. While focussing the camera on the snake, the man said that the Common Krait is the most poisonous serpent in India. According to the blogger, this snake comes out and bites people at night. As per the creator, it is known as the silent killer and climbs at the bed to bite people. The blogger advises people to stay safe from these snakes and clean their beds before using them at night. In the entire clip, the snake is not moving even an inch from the sewing machine. This Instagram video has garnered more than 7 million views and counting.

Social media users posed different questions to the blogger in the comment section. One of the users asked where this snake is found in India. The blogger replied that it is available everywhere in India. Another user commented that due to the bite of the Indian Common Krait snake, she remained admitted to the hospital for a month. Another person commented that this snake is most active during the monsoon. Its bite doesn’t hurt which explains the reason why it is called the silent killer.

According to the information available on the National Center for Biotechnology Information , The Indian Krait spews one of the most lethal venoms compared to other Asian snakes. The venom of the Common Krait comprises substantial neurotoxins that cause muscular paralysis. Significant snake bite incidents occur in rural areas.

A cursory glance at the blogger’s Instagram feed shows that he has shared many clips on Instagram handling snakes. While handling them, the creator doesn’t show any signs of worry and creates videos with a poised demeanour. This is a testament to his ability to handle even the most scary-looking serpents calmly. In one of the clips, he lets the serpent with its forked tongue out, slither on his arm calmly.
