Woman Shows Up In Shorts For Job Interview, Company Says 'Let's Reschedule It'

Although every work environment has a dress code, many would vouch there are some things to keep in mind when dressing for a job interview. A woman’s choice of outfit for her job interview created a controversy. Tyreshia shared a video of herself wearing a white top, a cardigan, and black shorts. She claimed that after showing up for the interview in that outfit the recruiter decided to reschedule her interview. Tyresha’s video has left the internet divided with many taking the recruiter’s side. The video, which was shared on X (formerly Twitter) has clocked more than 34 million views. “I cannot believe the recruiter asked me to change my interview clothes and then come back. I look very neat and professional, so no!” she can be heard saying in the clip.

Tyresha, in the video, claimed that the recruiter had asked her if she would like to go home, change, and come back, before eventually rescheduling it for the next day.

Reacting to the video, a user said, “This is insane, there is no way she really thought this was acceptable.”

Echoing a similar sentiment, another added, “Office appropriate and interview appropriate is different. She just learned that lesson.”

“Everyone keeps talking about the heat, SHES IN A KNIT SWEATER, a mid-length skirt and sleeveless top would have been ideal. You literally don’t have to wear trousers and blazer. Not only are the shorts unprofessional, the outfit don’t even match,” a comment read.

This person came up with a suggestion. He said, “When in doubt, wear a suit. No one will have an issue with a suit in any generation,” another comment read.

Meanwhile, a few showed their support for Tyresha.

“That’s literally a professional outfit I don’t see the issue,” a person said.
