The Gujarat Giants will be searching for their first victory in the Women’s Premier League 2024 as they take on the Royal Challengers Bangalore in their next match. The Giants are currently placed last on the league table with four losses in four games. They have lost to all the participating teams in the tournament including the Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers, UP Warriorz and Delhi Capitals.
Their last match saw them concede a 25-run defeat to the Capitals. The game began with the Capitals batting first as Meg Lanning scored a fifty in the first innings to get things going. Meghna Singh produced the best bowling numbers as she scalped four to curb the Capitals at 163 runs. In the second innings, Ashleigh Gardner scored 40 runs for the Giants but it just wasn’t enough to win them the match. They will now be looking for a comeback against the Royal Challengers on Wednesday.
The T20 game between Gujarat Giants and Delhi Capitals in the Women’s Premier League 2024 will be played on March 6 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The Royal Challengers, on the other hand, have won three out of the five games they have played. They beat the UP Warriorz in their last fixture and will be looking to continue that momentum against the Giants next.
