- You must be 21 or older to buy with a valid ID to order tobacco on DoorDash.

Ordering Cigarettes on DoorDash
Open the DoorDash app. The DoorDash app has a white icon with a red swoosh in the shape of a "D." Tap the DoorDash icon to open the DoorDash app. If you haven't already done so, sign up for a DoorDash account. You can sign up with your email address or tap one of the options to sign up using your Google, Facebook, or Apple account. If you haven't downloaded the DoorDash app, you can download it for free from the Google Play Store on Android devices or the App Store on iPhone and iPad.
Select a restaurant or store that accepts special instructions. You'll need to enter your tobacco request in the "Special Instructions" section of your order. Not all restaurants or stores allow you to enter special instructions. Find a restaurant or store that allows you to enter special instructions.
Tap a food item you want to order. You'll need to order something else along with your tobacco order. Begin by placing a regular order of food.
Scroll down and tap Special Instructions. It is generally at the bottom of the menu below all the options you have to customize your order. Tap this option at the bottom of the menu when placing an order for food.
Enter your preferred brand of tobacco and the quantity. Enter the tobacco products you want to purchase along with the quantity in the Special Instructions field.
Complete your order. Complete your order by going through the checkout process. If your DoorDash driver accepts tobacco orders, they will pick up your tobacco products while delivering your order. Tobacco orders are a very serious matter for DoorDash drivers. There are many legal requirements they have to follow. Many DoorDash drivers do not accept tobacco orders. DoorDash drivers are allowed to refuse tobacco orders for any reason.
Verify your age. If the DoorDash driver accepts tobacco orders, they will most likely want to see your ID when they deliver your tobacco products. Have a valid driver's license, passport, military ID, or another form of ID issued by the state or federal government. Be ready to present your ID when your order arrives. Alternatively, you can undergo a one-time age verification process by uploading your ID to the app when ordering alcohol. The driver may still request to see your ID in person. DoorDash drivers can be held legally liable for delivering tobacco products to someone who appears to be visibly intoxicated. If the driver suspects you are intoxicated, they may refuse your tobacco order.
Restricted Locations
There are numerous restricted locations that DoorDash drivers are not allowed to deliver to by law. Drivers are not allowed to deliver to the following location types: K-12 public or private schools Hospitals and healthcare facilities Sports venues or any place hosting a sporting event College campuses (including frat houses) Prisons or reformatories Veterans’ homes Federal or state property P.O. Boxes Locker or storage facilities Other businesses that sell tobacco.
