CI in soup for violating HC order

SABARIMALA:  Sabarimala chief coordinator of police ADGP P Chandrasekharan has said that action would be taken against Circle Inspector Mohammed Riyas for violating the High Court order regarding entry of women to Sabarimala.  Addressing newsmen at Sannidhanam Devaswom guest house on Wednesday, P Chandrasekharan said that CI Riyas, who was on duty at Pampa aid post near Ganapathi temple had ordered woman constables to accompany Agriculture Minister K P Mohanan to Sabarimala the other day.The ADGP said the policemen, including officers, were briefed on the temple customs and practices. Chandrasekharan said the Pampa police special officer, who inquired into the incident, said in the report that the CI was not aware of the order since he was on Sabarimala duty for the first time. The ADGP said action against the CI would be taken immediately after seeking an explanation on the report.
