The Karnataka State Secondary Teachers Association (KSSTA) felicitated meritorious SSLC students with Prathibha Puraskar at a programme in the city on Saturday.
The Association had invited those students who had scored distinction marks in the SSLC examinations for felicitation. Chief Guest Dr B C Maylarappa, Registrar, Bangalore University, said “We have more than 14 lakh education institutions in the country. The education system is facing a big challenge today. We have people without jobs though they have degrees. We should develop the education sector because it will help in developing the nation.” MLA C N Ashwath Narayana and President of the Association Balakrishna Bhat were present.
