Girija Vyas also said the NCW will soon bring over 30 laws for women's protection, including a special law for rape.
New Delhi: There is some good news for all the women. The National Commission for Women (NCW) Chairman, Girija Vyas on Saturday said the NCW is planning to bring over 30 laws for protection of women.
The laws will include a special law for dealing with rape cases Vyas was quoted by news agency PTI as saying in Kanpur.
Vyas called Nithari a ‘black spot’ on Uttar Pradesh, and said the state is notorious for violence against women.
When asked about the creation of Kali- Sena on organisation of women social outfit to check eve teasing in Kanpur, Vyas said, “the Commission would provide protection if they work under law and order.”
