Pakistan's ISI paid me for recce of 26/11 targets : David Headley
David Headley admitted to spending the money paid to him by ISI to conduct a recce of other 26/11 targets.

Pakistani-American terrorist David Headley on Thursday told a Mumbai court that he was paid by Pakistan's ISI to carry out a recce of targets in India.

The 55-year-old, who has turned approver in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks case, stated this during a cross-examination on the second day by Abdul Wahab Khan, the lawyer of Abu Jundal, an alleged key plotter of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, via a video link from the US.

Headley told Abu Jundal's lawyer he spent Rs. 1 lakh to conduct a recce of National Defence College, Chabad House and other places and that the money for all the 26/11 related recce operations were paid by the ISI.

He said the money was paid to him by Ilyaas Kashmiri in Pakistani rupees. He also admitted to spending the money paid to him by ISI to conduct a recce of other 26/11 targets.

Wahab: How much money did you spend on recce of National Defence College, Chabad House etc in 2009 at the behest of Al Qaeda?

Headley : Rs 1 lakh

Wahab: Who paid you?

Headley: Ilyaas Kashmiri paid me in cash. In Pakistani rupees.

Wahab: How much did you spend on recce of tragets for 26/11?

Headley: Many lakhs of rupees, don't remember exactly.

Wahab: Who paid you?

Headley: ISI.
