Rape victim succumbs to injuries

HYDERABAD: A 35- year-old woman who was allegedly gang raped at Ghatkesar a couple of days ago, died on Tuesday while undergoing treatment at Gandhi hospital.Police said that the woman died of bleeding injuries on her private parts. On Saturday night, the victim along with a few relatives, consumed alocohol while on her way to Ramanthapur in an auto. "She fell unconscious. What transcribed subsequently is not known. Later, locals found her with bleeding injuries," Ghatkesar inspector Ch Srikanth said.In a statement to the police, the victim said she was clueless about what happened after she got drunk. The victim was found lying in an open plot at Bhoopathi school. The accused are still at large.
