Mumbai: Singer Sonu Niigaam has released a special song titled Yeh rashtra prem ki bhavna which can be downloaded on mobile phones.
The song is composed by Deepak Pandit, reports Bollywood Trade.
"I was working on this song much before the unfortunate 7/11 (Mumbai train bombings) happened. This is a patriotic song aimed at connecting to the masses, especially youth of today," Sonu said.
"The song is very different as it's not an album. It is a 'single' only on the Internet without any company involvement. You can have it as a ring tone or a caller tune. We mainly want to connect to people through mobiles," he added.
In tune with the patriotic month Sonu said, "It's a patriotic song mainly targeting the youngsters who are a lot more cool, open and chilled out. It's got to do with generating awareness about our country. Patriotism is not about 'right' or 'wrong'. It's about our efforts in making our country the best.”
"We want to propagate humanity and freedom through this song," said Nigam, who is all set to fly to the US with Talat Aziz for a concert.
The song will be promoted by music channels MTV, Channel [V], Radio city and Zee.
