Actors Sol Kyung Gu, Park Eun Bin, Park Byung Eun, and Yoon Chan Young have been confirmed to star in the upcoming medical crime thriller, titled Hyper Knife. The drama, which is set to air sometime later this year, has already garnered much attention due to its star-studded cast and intriguing storyline. Hyper Knife revolves around the story of two exceptionally gifted individuals, Doctor Se Ok (played by Park Eun Bin) and her mentor, Choi Deok Hee (portrayed by Sol Kyung Gu), reports Soompi.
According to the plot of the upcoming K drama, Choi Deok Hee is renowned as the world’s top neurosurgeon. He once mentored Jung Se Ok, a talented and promising doctor. However, Deok Hee harboured conflicted feelings toward her and eventually expelled her from his operating room during surgery.
Despite Se Ok’s former reputation as a medical genius, due to being permanently expelled, she now operates as a shadow doctor in an illicit surgical facility. Fate reunites her with her former mentor Deok Hee, the one who pushed her to the depths. These two eccentric yet skilled neurosurgeons find themselves in a dramatic confrontation.
Park Eun Bin will transform into Se Ok, a doctor who, in the past, was once praised for her exceptional skills but now lives in the shadows. Park Byung Eun joins the cast as Han Hyun Ho, an anesthesiologist who deeply regrets not being able to witness Se Ok’s talents. Yoon Chan Young will play Seo Young Joo, a character who consistently supports and protects Se Ok.
The drama has been penned by Kim Seon Hee, known for her work on Bangjungsa and God’s Quiz: Reboot, and will be directed by Kim Jung Hyun, who has previously gained much recognition for his work in Awaken and Crazy Love. The series is expected to deliver a thrilling and suspenseful narrative, showing the talents of its cast and crew.
As reported by Soompi, the series Hyper Knife has already commenced filming and is scheduled to premiere later this year.
