Demonte Colony, which was released in 2015, was a successful hit in both Telugu and Tamil. Now, director Ajay Gnanamuthu has directed the sequel Demonte Colony 2. The film features Arulnithi and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the lead roles. It is expected to mark a strong comeback for both of them. The trailer for Demonte Colony 2 has been unveiled. The Telugu version has been unveiled by popular director Ram Gopal Varma. The sequel follows closely on from its predecessor and begins with the protagonist Arulnithi entering the ominous house of the Demonte, which a monk warned about.

The trailer is skillfully edited and cleverly avoids spoilers, but builds up the anticipation considerably. It effectively mixes horror elements and scary moments and increases the curiosity of the viewers. Antti Jaaskelainen, Tsering Dorjee, Arun Pandian, Muthukumar, Meenakshi Govindarajan, Sarjano Khalid and Archana Ravichandran deliver strong supporting performances.

The rich production is a major highlight. Sam CS impresses with his haunting score that perfectly complements the horror-thriller genre, while Harish Kannan’s cinematography adds to the film’s visual appeal. Fans are eagerly awaiting the film’s release, expecting a thrilling experience that combines narrative depth with atmospheric suspense against the backdrop of supernatural intrigue and mystery.

Produced by Gnanamuthu Pattarai & White Nights Entertainment in association with Raaj Varma Entertainment & Sree Balaji Films, this horror thriller will hit the theatres in August 2024.

Ajay previously revealed in an interview that in contrast to the first instalment, which featured humorous scenes in its opening scenes, the sequel will be a full-fledged horror movie. “The story will capture your attention right away and prevent you from getting sidetracked." He says that to enjoy this instalment, one must be aware of the events in the first film. “The first movie came out eight years ago, so not many people will recognise the sequences. We have prepared campaigns that can successfully remind viewers of the important details." He suggests giving the first film another viewing before watching Demonte Colony 2.
