My Mother Is My Inspiration, Says Kannada Music Composer Hemanth Jois

Hemanth Jois said that his mother doesn't know much about music, but keeps motivating him.

Music composer Hemanth Jois started his journey as an independent artist. He has gradually garnered a sizable fanbase in the Kannada music industry, after becoming a composer for 8 films. In an exclusive interview with News 18 Kannada Digital, he attributes his mother as the major source of inspiration behind his accomplishments. Hemanth said that his mother doesn’t know much about music, but keeps motivating him to concentrate on his work. According to him, the words said by his mother are deeply rooted in his heart and encourage him to come up with the best of his music compositions.

The Yentha Kathe Maraiyya composer reflected on his life journey and said that he has completed his Master’s in Business Administration and worked in many reputed companies. He, however, was not satisfied because his interest area was in music and this prompted him to learn the nuances of the classical guitar. He made his debut in the realm of music in 2016 with an album called Tunturu with Chethan Naik and lyrics penned by Prathap C R. Prakyath Narayan became the director of photography for this project edited by Samarth Upadhya and directed by Avinash Balekkala.

This album became a hit with the masses and opened up a lot of opportunities for the Yentha Kathe Maraiyya composer. Chethan Naik is one of his closest friends and they have formed a band together with which they have performed in concerts in many places in the United States of America.

Hemanth, however, doesn’t feel satisfied with his current fame and said that his less association with the commercial cinema has not made him reach the Kannada audience. He is currently eagerly anticipating the release of his upcoming film as a composer titled Venkya, directed and headlined by the actor Sagar Puranik.

Along with performing at concerts and composing the music for films, Hemanth also enjoys teaching the children guitar. With his fondness and passion for music, the Yentha Kathe Maraiyya composer has the potential to become one of the finest music composers of Kannada cinema. He also has an independent channel by the name of Hemanth Jois where he composes his tracks.
