Taapsee Pannu Opens Up on 'Enjoying Life Beyond Work' in 1st Interview After Marriage: 'There's No Top...'
Newlywed Taapsee Pannu has said that she now wants to enjoy life 'beyond her profession' and doesn't want to get involved in the rat race of 'reaching the top'.

Taapsee Pannu, who recently tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend and badminton player Mathias Boe, has revealed that she has learnt to enjoy life “beyond my profession”. In her first interview after marriage, Taapsee talked about her secret to maintaining inner peace.

“At this point, I feel my professional choices are largely driven by the value of my time. I want to be sure if taking up a certain project is worth my time because I want to enjoy life beyond work. The second factor is relevance. I would love to cherish my filmography years from now. So, I don’t want to invest time in something that will not stand the test of time,” Taapsee told Elle India.

She added, “There will always be people around you who have more or less than you, and in the hustle to reach the top, we forget that there is no ‘top’. I’ve realised it is better to start enjoying life beyond my profession. I’m okay with not becoming the biggest thing ever, but I want to make sure I live happily every day of my life. You are not as significant as you think you are in your head.”

In addition to her movie career, Taapsee runs her own event management company and has a badminton franchise in the Premier Badminton League. Talking about how she juggles between multiple roles, the actress said, “My idea of peace and happiness is where I get to work hard for 12 hours, but on my day off, I can totally switch off without having to chase a deadline. I have a family and a home to return to, and I have friends beyond the film industry who I hang out with to intentionally keep that non-celebrity side of me alive.”

News18 Showsha was first to report about Taapsee’s secret wedding with Mathias. The wedding took place in Udaipur and was an extremely intimate affair, a source had informed us.

On Wednesday, a video of Taapsee making her bridal entry went viral on social media. She looked radiant in a red suit with gold detailing and danced her way to the mandap.

Taapsee Pannu and Danish badminton coach Mathias Boe met at the inaugural Indian Badminton League in 2013. Love blossomed between the two and soon the families met. While Taapsee largely managed to keep details about her love life under wraps, she once stated in an interview that they began chatting on X (formerly Twitter) and then proceeded to meet one another.
