After the Jio MAMI festival, it's now time for Kolkata International Film Festival. The 22nd edition of the festival saw prominent Bollywood personalities including Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Kajol, Sanjay Dutt and Parineeti Chopra among others.
It wasn't just an usual inauguration ceremony but a ceremony which had Shah Rukh Khan trying his hand at Bengali language. The actor addressed the audience in Bengali and began his speech by expressing his fear of not speaking the right way and being spanked by 'Jaya aunty'.
As much as he looked charming while trying to get his diction right, his hilarious accent continued to draw hoots of laughter and applauds from the audience.
He ended the speech by saying, "Ami ageo bolechi, Kolkata amar praner sohor, Kolkata Film Festival amar praner utsob" (I have said this before, Kolkata is the city of my heart and Kolkata Film Festival).
