Toxic the Movie: Yash Offers Prayers, Geetu Mohandas Takes First Shot at Film's Muhurat | Photos

Kannada star Yash began the shooting of his new film, Toxic. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the team came together for the muhurat puja and the first shot. Several photos from the puja surfaced online and it shows the team excited for the film. In one of the photos, Yash was seen offering prayers with the clapboard of the film placed in the puja. In another picture, Yash was seen posing with Geetu and the producer.

A picture also shows Geetu standing with the camera, all set to take the first shot. Sharing the photos on X, the production house, KVN Productions wrote, “A new chapter begins for a tale to witness #ToxicShootBegins today with an auspicious pooja ceremony Here are some magical moments.”

Earlier in the day, Yash also shared a picture with the film’s producer and announced the film going on the floors.

Before the muhurat puja, Yash was seen visiting several temples in Karnataka, accompanied by producer Venkat K. Narayana and their families. Their spiritual journey included visits to the Shri Sadashiva Rudra Surya Temple, Shri Manjunatheshwara Temple in Dharmasthala, and the Kukke Subramanya Temple in Subramanya. This ritual aligns with Yash’s tradition of seeking blessings and ensuring a positive beginning for his new projects, much to the delight of his fans.

While Yash plays the lead, Kiara Advani has been roped in to play the leading lady. Tamil superstar Nayanthara has also been brought on board of the film as Yash’s sister. The film is slated to hit theatres on April 10, 2025, and expectations are high for this new chapter in Yash’s journey.

Although Yash has been tight-lipped about the film, a Pinkvilla report recently claimed that Yash takes on the role of a suave underworld leader in the movie. However, the portrayal deviates significantly from his character in the KGF series.
