In today’s competitive job market, securing employment has become increasingly challenging. Whenever a job opens up within a company, it often draws hundreds of applications. Many individuals become exhausted from the constant process of submitting CVs without success.

Such was the case with one applicant who learned about an opening for an accountant position after the previous accountant had passed away. Seizing the opportunity, he promptly submitted his CV, along with a letter that has since garnered attention for its candid content.

An image of this job application letter was shared on Instagram by @the.potential.dropout. The letter reflects his frustration with the job search, evident from his unabashed expression of relief upon learning about the vacancy due to the accountant’s death. He wrote about his immediate action upon hearing the news, stating that he attended the funeral to verify the accountant’s death personally and then sent his CV and a condolence message to the company to confirm the vacancy.

This post has attracted significant attention online, receiving 51 thousand likes and numerous comments. Reactions range from humorous speculation that the applicant might have been responsible for the accountant’s death to others noting his bold approach. Some commenters even joked that if he didn’t secure the job, the company might soon have another vacancy to fill.

In another incident, the application has gone viral by a Twitter user named Sahil. “My juniors are so sweet, asking me for leave to attend an interview,” he wrote in the caption. In the application, the employee has written, “Dear Sir, Greetings to the day. Good Morning. I am sending you this email to inform you that I need to leave today to attend an interview with another company. I’d like to request that you please approve my leave.”

The short and crisp leave application has impressed netizens. One person wrote, “It is difficult to provide that level of confidence in your subordinates. Congratulations bro. You must be an employee-friendly and loving superior!”. Some people believe that through this application, the person is hinting towards a hike.
